Ruling proudly over Glen Fyne and beyond, Jarl is our flaghip session blonde ale. A showcase for American hop, Citra, Jarl delivers waves of fruity citrus flavours and a clean finish. Jarl is the epitome of a modern classic - an easy-drinking, beautifully balanced session ale bursting with flavour. Fyne Ales was one of the first UK breweries to use Citra hops when we created Jarl in 2010..

Draft at Churchkey. Hazy to cloudy pale yellow color, massive thick white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of white pepper, summer fruit, haystacks. Taste is freshly cut hay, black pepper. Very nice.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours hazy gold with a near-white head. Aroma is sort of herb. Flavor is very citrus with herb. Finishes very citrusy bitter. Nice session ale.

On tap at the GJBF in Osaka 2014. A very clear light straw gold. A nice sweet caramel & hop aroma. Not complex but solid. Light bodied but silky smooth. Clear hoppy pine with light sweetness.

Cask at the brewery. Straw coloured with a tight white head; crisp citrus aroma; some sweet grapefruit adds to the flavour; and then there’s a clean finish. A really good light ale - apparently they are struggling to keep up with the demand.

From cask @ Borefts 2013. A cloudy golden yellow one with a small bubbly cask white head. Smells of nice citrus with lots of fresh summer flowers, some hay, grass and it just smells really fresh and nice. Summerly. It has a light prickling really soft carbonation level and a gliding soft oily mouthfeel. Really really balanced in the taste. Soft citrusy, mild and round. There is a little hint of pineapple and pine here. Super lightdrinkable and actually really good. Could easily drink this again. A sessionable and lightdrinkable golden! 28.09.2013
