The sunstone - much disputed among scholars. Did the Viking navigators really have such a tool that would help them point out what was east and what was west - even on a less than sunny day? We certainly believe so. Many years later no sunstone was needed when Amager Bryghus was invaded by what very much looked like Viking ancestors of American descent. Hailing from Munster, Indiana, Chris Boggess and Barnaby Struve of Three Floyds Brewing arrived not with a vengeance but with very loud King Diamond on their portable mp3 player. This was not a day for slaughter but for brewing. And brew we did. The mellow and dangerously quaffable Arctic SunStone is proof that even Viking warriors can have a more subtle side to them. All hail to Three Floyds.

Draught at KØ14. Very grassy hop aroma, some pine. Almost clear shiny dark golden colour. Good stable creamy white head. The flavour is hoppy, grassy, caramelly. Nice and clean. Medium bitterness, faint hop bite.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks fonefan for this bottle! Murky amber. Hoppy aroma, citric, piney and a bit stale. Flavor has a bit of sweetish malt, a grainy hint, slightly stale citric hops and a bitter finish. Could be fresher but still quite enjoyable.

Fra fat på Mandag i annen, mai-14: denne batchen er brygget eksklusivt for Cardinal. Højt skum! God aroma. Balansert, smaksrik og behagelig. Et riktig godt pøseøl, selv om en vinkelhastighet på 6 er i overkant for det formålet.

Hazy and greyish orange. Off-white head. Grape fruit, lime and tropical fruits in aroma, with hints English real served for too many days at the pub. Decent fruity taste balanced with sweetness. Round mouthfeel.

Botella de 50 cl. del lúpulo. Lote 629 hasta 07/2014. Tomada en el momento en 14-04-2014. Color anaranjado a marrón muy turbio con bastantes sedimentos. Espuma blanca a marfil no muy persistente. Aromas bastante afrutados y dulces al principio con algo de lúpulo fresco. Cuerpo medio fácil de beber con 6 vol. Sabores también dulces afrutados de frutas tropicales con toques de maltas ligeramente tostadas y caramelo acabando con ligeros herbáceos de lúpulo verde y fresco. Muy buena refrescante, ligera y afrutada con lo justo de amargo. Gran colaboración amager _ three floyds. Para repetir muchas mas veces sin duda. En esta ultima los lúpulos se encuentran un poco apagados y no tan frescos, sobretodo al final. Botella de 50 cl en el lúpulo en noviembre de 2013. lote 629 hasta 07/2014.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is fresh grassy, hops, leafs, light malts, sap, newly cut lawn, pine needles. Taste is mild grassy, leafs, hops, sap, bark, newly cut lawn. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Nice.

Bottle from MisoW, many thanks.Very ugly orange brown color with small white. Strong hoppy aroma with oranges, tangerines, pines, some spices. Solid malty base with aromatic, hoppy kick. Long hoppy bitter finish. One more, please.
