Missouri Sour Brown that was cofermented with crabapples from the Angry Orchard innovation cider house in Walden New York. We brewed this beer with our great and long time friend Ryan Burk, the head cidermaker at Angry Orchard, before racking it to French Oak Puncheons to age a year before being bottled and naturally conditioned.

375ml bottle. Murky, brown colour with small, frothy, fading, off-white to beige head. Fruity and funky, tangy and woody aroma, notes of morello, black pepper, blue grapes, some oak. Taste is dry, sour, slightly woody, fruity, minimally tangy and funky, hints of morello, a vinegar touch. Rather simple, monotonous, a tad too dry and sour for too light a body.

Didn’t know what to expect. Needs some food to cut the heavy acidity but the apple character is quite nice.

Bottle, by way of a trade with B3shine. Cheers friend. Pours a fairly thick, hazy, gingery bronze. Dense ring of light tan head. Nose has a distinct, Flanders like balsamic quality to it. Well bruised red apple. Soft caramel. Some sherry notes. Some vanilla wood. Taste is surprisingly sweet, to start, with an apple juice acidity. Mouthfeel is pretty robust and smooth. Low carbonation. Apple and balsamic tartness to finish. The amount of sweetness in this, I didn’t expect. Great beer.

12.7 oz green bottle from Tavour. Aroma is vinous, funky, balsamic vinegar, apples (core and all), light oak. Pours murky brown with orange tints and a one finger beige head that falls into a ring somewhat quickly. Taste is highly sour (10/10), acidic, and a bit spicy with flavors of funk, dark fruit, vinegar, apples, red wine, hints of caramel and leather; finishes with a moderate tannic bitterness. Really weird collaboration, but they made a very cool beer here.

Lots of Brandy or applejack notes, fermented apples, boozy but the abv isn't there ( at least on the label ) great flavor but could be smoother or more abv to own up to the fermented notes.
