Bottle picked up from Beer Republic webshop Nr Breda Netherlands and consumed at Citadines Sainte-Catherine Brussels (Apart Hotel Brussels) Friday 29th April 2022. Pours black with a light beige head, super soft moutheel, creamy and smooth. Roasted malts, rich and indulgent, chocolate and maybe vanilla? coffee also, very good.

Schön bekömmliches imperial Stout, Espresso ist sehr deutlich wahrzunehmen, Zartbitter Schokolade, malzig, hohe Drinkability, lecker. Optik aber ch grandios, toller Cappuccino-Schaum.

Bottle. Pours black with a thin off white head. Aromas of mocca, licorice, roasted malt, slight raisins. Taste is dark bittersweet chocolate, roasted coffee, dark sweet fruits, dry bitter finish.

Bottle. Black, opague. Malt, coffee, cream and a hint of licorice in the aroma. Malty sweet, roasty salty flavor with licorice and coffee. Creamy mouthfeel. Warming alcohol. Nice one.

Taste from a bomber. Pours black, with a small, dense, tan head. The aroma is toffee, harsh coffee, pine, earth, and soy. Dry maltiness, with a strange bitterness. Heavy body, with a hard, sticky palate. Pretty tasty, but it was mistreated at some point. Some distinct off aromas and an unfortunate mouthfeel. Shame.

Bottle at BD Castlegate Share. It pours opauqe black with a medium tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, sweet, vanilla, chocolate cake, rocky road and nougat. The taste is dry, slick, rich roasted malt, burnt toast, rocky road, dark chocolate, toasted marshamallow and alcohol boost with a drying finish. Medium to full body and average carbonation. Decent.

I drink this a little too cold so my ratings are off because of that. Still it's not overly sweet a little more sweet than bitter but not too bad. Aromas are black patent malt roast chocolate and dark malt. Flavors are like Nose very smooth no off qualities at all, slightly more sweet than bitter first going more bitter in the Finish excellent body and drinking.

Bottle. Black with a good inch of tan head that fades to a fat coat Chocolate fudge aroma with hard roast lurking underneath. Some vanilla, hints of oaky red wine. Medium bodied with a smooth, moderately carbonated texture. Not all that sweet but plenty of mocha, stern bread. No berries or dried fruit. Slightly earthy and weedy, chicory. Firm bitterness and fairly dry in a finish that cleans things up nicely. If maybe an imperial stout should be more indulgent, at least it's not ingratiating. A fine stout.
