Chilled 37.5 green bottle corked and capped poured into a glass. Translucent dark Amber with medium beige head. Aroma is dark candy sugar, light body, lower carbonation, and good small-bubble lacing. Taste is dark candy sugar and nice tartness. Nice beer.

The beer is a fairly dark amber color. It’s somewhat hazy but it just depends on how much sediment kicked up. Large head, slightly off white. Lots of lacing. The aroma is weird. There’s lambic funk to it, but it’s buried beneath odd and not very pleasant sweet flavors. There’s a vegetal cooked onion note, some plastic and sickly thin caramel. There’s also some metallic tone to it. It’s not really offensive but definitely off when taken together. Taste has moderate to medium sweetness. It’s thin, very light caramel. Some sour citrus tang, but it’s well behind the sugar. Some body to it. A bit slick and sticky in the finish. Not my cup of tea.

37cl bottle. Clear copper with an almost non-existent white head. Caramel, honey, some very subtle funk notes, sour grapes and vinegar, and a medicinal/metallic bitterness.

New Year’s beer, first of 2016! Pouring a deep amber with a beige head of foam the aroma is tart, acidic but with soft sweet sugary marshmallowish notes. Medium to full mouthfeel but with a light dry finish. The taste is oaky, tart, candy sweet tarts with some malty caramel and lemon drops. Best bottled Faro I’ve had but to appreciate this style you need to have it fresh on draft.

37,5cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian - thanks! Pours slightly hazy amber with an off-white head. Mild, funky aroma with barnyard, earthy notes and caramel. Medium to moderate sweet, surprisingly balanced with a nice acididty. Funky and refreshing.
