Tap at Charlottesville location. Taste is wet cardboard, glue, light apple. Boring and kinda yucky (this is what my notes say word for word).

Sampled on draft at the Frederick MD location this beer poured a dark caramel color with a small foamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was malty with hints of toffee and golden fruit. The flavor was bitter and tarty with a bit of vague fruit and mild underlying bitterness. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

21st May 2015: BJ’s Laguna Hills outlet. Part of an eight glass flight. As the name suggests, this is amber in colour, my glass had a thin wispy white scum where the head should have been. Malty lead and fairly sweet taste throughout: caramel being the main flavour I picked up. A bit one dimensional, but my sweet tooth liked it.

Yeasty, buttery, good strength. Clear copper, medium yellow head, good glass adherence. Barley malt flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. Solid, nothing fancy, true to style.
