Clear golden colour, one finger frothy white head, stays a while, nice lacing. Sweet malty aroma, grain, bread, bit caramel, herbs, citrus. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Bittersweet finish, alcohol well hidden. Not really a special bock but all in all a decent beer.

De 2014 versie is duidelijk verbeterd. Had de 2013 niets meer van het aroma van eerder, smaakte waterig, weinig aroma, daar is dit jaar duidelijk verbetering in. Kleur is licht goudkleurig. Smaakt in de verte naar caramel en heeft inmiddels weer een hoppige smaak. Etiket is vernieuwd.

Bottle @ home. Clear orange color, medium sized white head that leaves fair to good lacing. Smell and taste malts, lightly sweet, decently fresh. Maybe indeed a slight citrussy and bitter finish. Decent body and carbonation.

Purchased this from a supermarket in Landsmeer .Consumed this at Camping Het Rieven, Landsmeer, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Monday 30th September 2013 I am sat outside the sun has dropped and so has the temperature now, this is warming me up. Clear gold, less potent than the previous 11% Grolsch rocket fuel I’ve just had. Malty and a little sweet but pleasant enough. Alcohol very well hidden, its fine. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Considerably nicer than the old version. Lighter, less sticky and sweet. Moderate sweetness, light citrus. Now an easy to drink session beer.

A bit better than the old recipe thanks to the Citra hops. But it’s still a really flat beer.

Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, light hops, quite fresh. Bitter hop flavour, hop oil, malts. Hoppy finish, lingering bitter. Didn’t notice citra hops. At all. Are they still used in this brew?

50 cl. can sampled – courtesy of Martinus. Procured from Alber Heijn. Bright golden with a slightly synthetic looking creamy white head. Nose is metallic lightly floral, almost detectible hops, tad fake & bit watery. Taste is sweet corn mixed with white sugar, starch, light bitter spices, hint of hop pellets, sweet corn, light grass but covered by the sweetness,… Fizzy, slightly sticky, almost watery. Slightly better than a pale lager but not too much. Never heard of a Lentebok before – surprised by a blond bock but apparently it is a Helles. This has citra in it?
