An easy drinking stout. Velvet on the palate with a complexity of fruity dark malt flavours to follow.

Bottle on 3rd April 2020 from Earth Natural Foods, Kentish Town. Pours deep sepia with thick tan foam. Rich roasty aroma with hints of dark chocolate. Full-flavoured roasty malts in-mouth with a touch of smoke. Fresh coffee and mocha dominate the finish. Medium bodied with an engaging texture. Very pleasant.

Bottle from Gloucester Services, M5, Gloucestershire. Dark brown with next to no head. It's not a very stated stout in terms of character, but its washy dark malts have a robustness about them.

500ml bottle. Pours very dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of dark malts, dark fruits, roast. Taste of sweet dark fruits and roasted malt, coffee, caramel, cocoa, bitter finish and a bit chemically. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Pleasant enough but not really doing anything for me.

Bottle from Thistledown Farm campsite farmshop. Consumed at home, Sunday 20th September 2015. Pours dark brown, a safe easy going stout , a little thin and perhaps even a touch watery, but that said it still tastes fine with all the usual stout attributes shining through. I am getting some cucumber, however that is likely to be from the Fattoush salad that I have been making. Malty with a little caramel and a little sweet edge, I am being unfair this isn’t a bad stout at all. A6 A4 T7 P2 Ov13 3.2

Bottle 500ml (from K-Supermarket City)
Dark brown color, mostly vanishing brownish head. Aroma has ash, coffee and toasted malts. Light bodied, even watery palate. Coffeish, dry flavor. Hints of coffee beans & vegetables. Uninspiring light stout.

500ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Roasty, minimally chocolately, dark malty aroma, a cautious touch of red berries. Taste is roasty dark malty, watery hints of chocolate, treacle and tar, increasing dark and caramel malty sweetness, almost toffee-like.
