Our Bakewell Sour brewed in collaboration with Wild Beer Co. pours a golden yellow colour with a white head, the beer is refreshingly tart and dry with a combination of citrusy hops and flavours of grapefruit and bitter lemon.

The name Tart is inspired by the Bakewell delicacy where we are based and accurately describes the flavour of the beer in a single word.

Sampled draft @ “Kaapse Brouwers 1st Anniversary Beer Festival”. Very hazy orange with no head. Nose is mellow puckering, lemon acidity & lactic sour. Taste is basic lactic mix, lightly tart lemonade, puckering, mild citrus acidity, more basic lactic sourness, big puckering lemon in the finish,… Lactic body. Very basic lactic sour but a pleasant one all the same even if most people seemed to dislike it.
