On tap. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a small, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Aroma of grainy malt, lemon, spicy rye and earthy yeast. Sweet flavour of biscuit malt, spicy rye, lemon and pine resin with a dry, bitter grass finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Easy drinking, pretty solid.

Light amber, very bitter, lemony pine sol character. Some rye chewiness in the finish. Dry and hoppy. No head but the bitterness is nice. This is the most interesting of their first three beers. The hop is pretty austere, and there’s overall an interesting character. The rye is the dominant malt character, which means it’s kind of chewy but without anything else going on. But still, this is one I want to pint so I can really get a better feel for whether I like it, because it seems like the kind of beer that gets better if you drink a pint or two.

Draft - Pedrumy citrus. Hops. Clear gold with a decent white head. Nice perfumy notes and bitterness, touch of rye spice. Nothing unique here, but very solid and drinkable.

On tap at Doan's, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Nose is quite aggressive, with lovely piney hops and some spicy earthy notes - seems very clean for the style. Flavour confirms this, with piney and floral hops, followed by a light spiciness and subtly earthy quality. Very clean finish. Really clean and easy drinking, which is a nice change for rye IPAs. Very good.
