A traditional German Ale from the city of Köln, this style provides the best of both worlds. It has the light body and easy drinking characteristics of a lager but backs it up with the malt complexity of an ale. Inspired by our brother Jon and our love for sessionable beer.

Has a faint salt aroma I think, not much on the nose. Good foam sits on top of a cloudy yellow body. Flavour is floral juice and a bit of wet orange. Good sweetness on the mouth. This is a nice brew on the sweeter side.

On tap. Pours a clear gold with a small, creamy, long lasting, white head that laces. Mild aroma of grainy pale malt, straw and earthy yeast. Sweet flavour of grainy pale malt, apple and straw with a dry, mild bitter, grassy hop finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Simple and easy drinking.

Taster at the brewery shared with Farees. Pours a clear pale golden with a white head. Aroma is malty. Similar taste with a moderate sweetness. Not enough crispy and dry, but not bad.

At the source: simple yet flavorful kolsch. Ligjtly fruity and plenty bready. Easy to drink but it does not treat you like a fool.

Light gold. Grainy- fresh pale malt, light bitterness. The pale malt character is the best element, the bitterness subtle. It’s not the most kolschy kolsch, but it’s a pretty good golden ale.

On tap at Doan's, pours a clear pale straw golden with a small white head. Nose brings out notes of straw and crisp cracker. Flavour reveals notes of lightly sweet cereal malt, straw and crackery malt. Correct to style, with a very clean body. Solid kolsch.

Draught at the brewery
Dark blond color with almost no head. The aroma is delicate, it has soft bready malt flavor with hints of hay, but it would need a bit of grassy hops and more bite in the final, while the bitterness is really on the low side.
I find the final being too short, otherwise is a pretty good Kölsch.
