Pours very dark with large tan head. Arma is malt, taste is chocolate. Very good, better than the regular rogue chocolate stout IMO.

Bottle. Dark brown color with a brown head. Coffee, chocolate flavor with a hoppy after taste. Aroma is stronge, smoky coffee.

what an amazing roasty aroma!!! So much roasted malt, roasted coffee, semi burnt chocolate, and some roasted grain. FLavour is sharp and bitter, this reminds me of a full bodied oatmeal stout. Loads of roasted malt, and roasted grain with a great hop bite, and nuance. Wow, incredible stout!

Bottle at home. Aroma is oats, roasted malt, chocolate, big coffee, mocha, fruity hoppy notes. Flavour is medium bitter with a touch of sweetness. Body is above medium and a bit creamy. Very tasty coffee chocolate fruity hoppy Oatmeal Stout.

This is the most complex and over the top of Rogue's regular Stouts. Just a little more of everything. Not for the novice Stout drinker or initiate to the style.
happy lundi gras.
Nitro is wel leuk… bier is wat licht, cacao, geroosterd, dun, koffie, a la Guinness, ik kan dit wel waarderen

I reviewed the original Shakespeare Stout and it got lost which is not surprising. Anyway I think the nitro version should be a separate entry. Both aromas and flavors are slightly sweet, dark malt with some roast and Cocoa. Body is chalky and super smooth. A little coffee in the finish. Very good beer.
