With his insatiable appetite, the Wolf is guilty of devouring livestock and little old ladies and is even thought to be able to swallow the sun. People of the old country observe strange rituals to appease his hunger, and never leave the house after dark for fear of being eaten. maybe we’re not all superstitious, but it wouldn’t hurt to stay indoors with friends and share a glass of Nocturnum - our robust and balanced dark hoppy ale - brewed to keep evil at bay.

12oz at brewery. Pours deep dark brown with thin head. Aroma has pretty nice balance of toasted malts and pine hops. Flavour again has some toasted malts and pine; also some vaguely herbal or grassy notes. Decent beer, but feels a bit lacklustre for a black IPA.

A clear copper brown ipa with a thin lacing light mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with herbal hops, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, a nice chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light treacle, pleasant. On tap at brewery

Muddy brown body with just a little head. Big dark hops on the nose with some caramel and molasses backing. Flavour is big hops with just a bit of wet barley to darken it a little. Wet finish. Kind of a fun IPA but couls be more exciting.

473 ml can. Pours black with big white bubbly head. Aromas of limes and pine with a bit of dry roasted malts. Flavors of medicinal piney and bitter grassy hops with toasty malts and vegetal notes. A bit of a mess.

All around well balanced and nothing wrong here but not a super interesting beer. Light pine and some roast. Light bitter finish. Tap at Drake.
