With his insatiable appetite, the Wolf is guilty of devouring livestock and little old ladies and is even thought to be able to swallow the sun. People of the old country observe strange rituals to appease his hunger, and never leave the house after dark for fear of being eaten. maybe we’re not all superstitious, but it wouldn’t hurt to stay indoors with friends and share a glass of Nocturnum - our robust and balanced dark hoppy ale - brewed to keep evil at bay.

Medium brown, fruity (apricot, blueberry) nose, with some dark malt coffeeish character. A little reminiscent of Ethiopian coffee, actually. Toasty, fruity, a little phenol.

Draft - Sweet, buttery and more sticky sweetness. Deep maroon with a decent beige head. Sweet. Light sourness, floral and more sweetness. Not sure where or what the were going for, but a sweet sticky mess with no hops or bitterness or roast for that matter.

Dark brown color with almost no head. Timid aroma of piney hops. The mouthfeel is lighter than the average Black IPA, there is some flavor of roasted malts with a dark chocolate trace, but also some late chemicals; in this kind of beers the flaws get covered by the big resiny hopping, but they can’t disappear. The final is also a bit ashy and dusty.
Not bad, but imprecise and sub-par.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out roasted malt and piney hops in good balance without being too overburdening. Flavour is rather weak for the style, with vegetal notes, earthy hops and medium roast. Not the most exquisite black IPA by a long shot, but at least there's nothing offensive here. Needs work.
