Hero of many a legend, Bayard the horse perpetually outwits any attempt to control him. Fearlessly blazing his own path, he symbolizes a free spirit not to be tamed. Wild by nature, this Saison is the happenstance of unique yeasts and can-conditioning and is just the thing for celebrating the things we cannot control.

Draught at the brewery
Cloudy orangey light amber with medium sized compact head. Same yeast that goes around in the region like a virus, hence loaded with vegetables, tomatoes; it also has light spices and very light funky and manure aroma. The mouthfeel is smooth; the spiciness is there, but the yeast is muddling; some bitter oranges in the final. Strong bitterness, some chicory.
Didn’t like this one.

Fairly bright. Light amber. No head. The aroma is sort of a pear and plastic dynamic, to this the palate adds gluey thick malts. Candyish finish, with a light berryish note. Not the quencher saison is supposed to be.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a cloudy near-opaque golden with a small white head. Nose is very dry, with Belgian yeast, light funk, dry floral hops and an earthy quality. Flavour is much the same, with an exceedingly dry yeasty palate, with quite high bitterness and an earthy yeasty quality. Carbonation is very high, but not detracting. Pretty good effort, but it's a little on the harsh and dirty side.
