Flemish etiquette implores you to wait and see if your host offers a toast before sipping your drink. Where Belgian Blonde Ale is concerned, pFriem sees things differently. Waiting to taste a perfect harmony of strength and elegance, while sniffing its pear and clove bouquet is like torture. Clean maltiness, invigorating effervescence and just enough bitterness wait for no one.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Deep blond color, clean, with compact head. Malt aroma, simple. Good body strength, lean mouthfeel; some malt flavor with moderate sweetness; it has some more character than most North American attempts, and light fruitiness. Correct bitterness.
Well brewed.

On tap at PIB, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is full of hay, biscuity malt, and barnyard notes. Flavour brings out loads of hay and biscuity malt. Very dry and hay-like, with a lot of drinkability. Not as complex or impressive as many other pFriem beers, but still very solid.
