Tap at the Raccoon Lodge. Pours dark gold with a white head. Coffee is primary in the aroma. Med body or so. Flavor is very coffee, with a hint of chocolate, and perhaps a touch of vanilla. Clearly one of the good coffee stouts, even if it isn’t black. :)

Sampled on June 29, 2015. At the brewpub in Portland.Listed as 6% ABV.Clear golden color, white head. Malty, coffee taste. Coffee aftertaste, some cocoa. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Mainly coffee scent.

Poured from a growler. Still don’t know how cascade fits 64 ounces in those little keg growlers. I’m convinced it’s magic. Golden pour. This beer plays tricks on you. Light looking beer with a coffee stout flavor. Mild espresso aroma. Coffee flavor will linger. Fun beer here. Tried twice now. Good stuff.

On tap at the brewery. Pours gold with no head. Aromas of coffee grounds and toasted malts. Flavours are a mix of coffee and golden ale. Odd.

Draft - Light roast chocolate covered coffee bean. Clear gold with a thin white head. Rich coffee roast and a light malty middle finishing with the coffee again. These guys are evil magicians.

Tap at Cascade Brewing, Portland. Colour is clear golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Coffee, fruits, spices and pepper?. Quite tacky and something completely different I have ever tasted. Hard to give any points.

Cloudy honey color. Nose is toasty and sweet with a big creamy espresso nose. Lots of creamy coffee and sweetness. With a very dry finish

Looks like a pale ale. Tastes and smells like a stout. Pale amber with white head. Aroma is coffee and roast malt. Flavour is coffee with malt and a slight hop note. Long coffee finish. This is one these beers that only Cascade would make.

On tap at Racoon Lodge. Pours a mostly clear golden color with a small white head. A big coffee nose. A flavor that mixes coffee, light sweet grains, apricot. Very interesting and good.

Tap at Cascade, Portland - 07/11/12. Lightly hazed blonde with a big white head which retains well. Nose is cofffee, smoke, caramel malts, light hops. Taste follows nose, big dose of coffee but balanced well with the hops. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, coffee tones in the finish. Great stuff !
