330ml bottle from Jeevan - cheers! Pours hazy pale yellow, no head. Very faint aromas, wheat and not much else. Taste is totally different - big sour lemon flavour. Again, not much else. Finishes short. One-dimensional .

So we meet again mr Berliner Weisse, last time i had it i thought it was horrible but now, it’s kind of drinkable.... 33CL bottle, light yellow beer with a small white head that disappears quickly, aroma is sour maybe a bit of lemon, taste is the same, sour and lemon, overall i can appreciate this kind of beer now better but still not one of my favourites.

Bottle @ DØE meeting. Pours very light pale yellow with a fading white head. Aroma of wheat, grain, grass, light sourness. Flavor is wheat, grain, citrus, light sourness, little salt. Thin body, lively carbonation. 280813

Bottle split at JF’s, thanks to he (from Beautiful Beers), 19/07/13. Murky yellow/orange with a thin off white head that clears to a pond and edgeing. Nose is tarte apples, sugars, light syrup, stewed raisens. Taste comprises light soured fruit notes, lemon rind, apple skins, light sugars, earthy notes, light funkyness. Light to medium in body, fine carbonation. Refreshing stuff on a hot summers day - lacks a bit of sourness compared to other BW’s but decent enough for the price.

Bottle bought @ bierkompass.de. Pours slightly hazy pale golden with a frothy and fizzy white head that is rather quick to dissipate while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is sour with lemon juice, lemon zest, crackers, sour milk, dried apricots, unripe currants, hay and hints of dry wood and rubber. Taste is sour and tart with lemon juice, crackers, dry wood, lemon zest, lemon grass, sour milk, wheat flour and hints of banana bread and rubber. Mouthfeel is crisp, tart and light bodied. Finish is sour and tart with crackers, sour milk, lemon juice, wheat flour and banana skins. Nice thirst-quencher.

This is one different beer. If you don’t know the style, be prepared for something unfamiliar. While the aroma is very faint, the flavor comes on tart and sweet, with a very dry finish. Some wine-like characteristics for sure, but this one is the unflavored variety, and very unique. COuld probably be marked higher for aroma and appearance, but I am still new at this style and need to learn the norms. Seek this one out!

Bottle. Pours very fizzy clear pale yellow with rapidly vanishing white head. Sour aroma of grain with hoppy notes. Extremely spur flavour, just as it says on the label, with a rough finish. I haven’t tasted many beers of this type, hence my rather positive rating. A good refresher.
