Bought when I received info about this being close to the same as one of the beers that got me in to craft beer. Is it as mind blowing as then, no of course not. Is it a solid beer, yes, I think so. Also a nice match with UK cheddar, crisps and mustard.

Bottle at System. Not a bad ale but the bitterness is a bit disjointed, coming across with some alcohol. Close to being a decent British style bitter. Classic Jämtlands taste. (30/11/2017) ---- Bottle from Systembolaget. 3 to 3.2. Malty aroma. Beautiful mahogany colour. Nutty aftertaste. Seems to have improved; getting there.

Bottle, thx to Cunningham. Gusher, producing a hazy dark orange-golden body under a small dense off-white head. The aroma is lightly yeasty, with toffee, some bread and a decent piney, resiny touch. Yeast notes. It’s full bodied, lightly sweet, and a bit effervescent. Decent bitterness too, with bread, toffee and pine cones. Some citrus zest. Long dryish and piney finish. Not bad, but too malty for me, considering the hop profile. 170202

Clear deep golden color with a fine off white head. Ok lacing. A quite decent aroma. Medium (+) body and a fine carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. A bit oily texture. Bready, caramel and a bit grainy flavor. A quite decent special bitter. A bit to much caramel malt for my likings.
