(Draught at Hopfenreich, Berlin, 18 July 2015) Reddish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with citrus, toffee, a touch of smoke and red peppers. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, citrus, a touch of smoke, red peppers, hints of chilli and a balanced spicy bitterness. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and interesting with the smoked peppers coming through really well. Quite nice.

Shoots out of the bottle. Paprika could be stronger, but definitely present. Quite bitter. Not my style, but not bad.

Cloudy medium amber colour, large frothy off-white head, half-way lasting, good lacing. Smoked aroma, malty, light caramel, light vegetables, fruity undertones, citrus. Medium sweet and bitter, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, aftertaste mild bitter, smoky and spicy notes, strange but decent brew.

Tap at Arendsnest. Hazy deep orange color, good off-white head. Smokey citric hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied. Some fruity sweetness, smoke and citrus-piney hoppy bitterness. Not spicey but quite enjoyable.

33cl Bottle, Dutch version. Hazy orange-amber colour, big and dense off-white head. Aroma of subtle smoke, soft caramel, citrus, flowers, some honey. Flavour is light soapy, citrus, smoke, soft fruitiness, firm hoppy bitter finish. Light bodied. Good stuff.

Tap at delft bierfestival. Hazy orange golden with small white head. Dried paprika, peppers, citrus hops with some pine resin, caramel, light sweet nuts. Medium sweet with light to medium bitterness and very light chili burn. Medium bodied. Interesting stuff and not bad at all!
