Draft sample @ Berlin Braufest 2015.

Light brown colour. Light smokiness in the aroma. Flavour has obvious but not overpowering smoked paprika. Furthermore it has the malty sweetness of a red ale and the bitter finish of an IPA.

--- Beer merged from original tick of Papr'IPA on 23 May 2018 at 14:22 - Score: 6

Tap @ UBF ’15. Hazy amber color. Big off white head with good retention. Aroma’s: malty, somewhat sweet. Retronasal: malts, bitter, typical (I guess that’s the Paprika, but it’s hard to describe). Flavor: quite bitter with a moderate sweet backbone. Medium bodied. Finish has this typical element, then eventually rather bitter.

Tap @ UBF 2015, small sample. Slight hazy golden color, medium white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, slight smoked pepper. Medium bitter in taste, decent malty backbone. Quite clean, just a hint of the smoked peppers. Very decent beer, I like it again.
