Ölföreningen 2014. Smak och doft av torkad frukt, karamell, marsipan, fikon med toner av läder och russin. Koncenterade dofter, tjock, rund och len. Känsla av rom, bourbon och madeira. Välbalanserad med lagom sötma. Fantastiskt gott!

Live draft at SB which means Special Brews. Out of the 3 BA big beers in front of me this is the best, which apparently doesn’t say much. Still too much alcohol and barrel, overly big beer. Autolysis underneath that as well, boo. However, this is in the standard over-the-top, big beer category and I know some people like that. At least not bitter hops and alcohol is just bad as opposed to insane rubbing alcohol (i.e., another beer in front of me). Its seems like this beer needs more Serpent Stout and less Angel’s Share. Its like no matter what you do to Angel’s Share it still fucks up the beer.

Pitch black appearance with hardly any head. The brandy from the cask is present. Boozy. Sweet, chocolate, dried fruits. Aroma can best be described by schnaps praliné. Taste is sweet, boozy, alcohol hot. A good one, but not over the top imho. And very expensive over here in Europe. Edit: more vanilla after a while, less hot. A bit better.

Riktigt riktigt gott. Perfekt till dessert eller ost.

12.7 oz bottle poured into a Belgian snifter. Bottle year is faded away but I believe it’s a 2014. Pours dark brownish black with a finger of tan head. Aromas of bourbon and brandy, booze, a bit of dark fruit. Tastes of bourbon, brandy, toffee, coconut, dark fruit, chocolate, booze. Medium-full body with a dry and semi-hot finish. Low carbonation, thick oily mouthfeel. Quite boozy.
