A full-bodied, Amsterdam wheat beer that is dangerously ‘moreish’. Slightly cloudy, it has a beautiful golden colour and a soft, foamy head. When we brew IJwit, we use wheat malt as well as barley malt, which is also how the beer gets its name.

The wheat malt gives the beer a delightful, fresh flavour, and the addition of coriander and lemon during the brewing process produces a rich aroma of banana, citrus and spices. Topped off by a fine, slightly sweet aftertaste, IJwit is a delicious thirst-quencher.

Аромат немного спертый, очень цветочный, постоянный, с градусами только усиливается, на оттенке кориандр. Цвет бледно желтый, сильно мутный, средняя белая, немного липкая пена. Вкус водянистый как и надо для данного сорта, шести градусов не ощущается, средняя карбонизация. Послевкусие великолепное, почти идеальное, легкие нотки дрожжей перебивает цветочно-пшеничный оттенок. В целом почти Хугарден.

250ml from the tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow with a white head. Aromas & tastes of banana, coriander, spices & yeast. Medium body. Dry light bitter finish. Very enjoyable

Bottle 0,33ltr: Don’t like this one from ’t IJ, but thats mine opinion, golden hazy looks and a very yeasty taste. Its more an weizenbock. 2011 And now i like it this time, well balanced mellow sweet taste, and fine hints of banana.

From Olav: pours light yellow with a white head. Aroma is bubblegum, light herbal. Taste is sweet, lightly spicy. Not bad.

Bottle. Malty and yeasty aroma and taste, wheat, spicy notes, banana, clove, medium sweet, light to medium bitter. Medium body, malty and yeasty spicy bitter sweet finish. Ok.

Nose is banana, cloves, yeast, corriander. Taste follows with banana, cloves, bubblegum, lots of yeast and dough, fruity esters, grain, a bitter wheat and hop finish. Very nice
