Very light sweet and spice from the rye but nice saison notes.

On tap at Foeder for Thought. Pours a cloudy orange with small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is yeast, spice, rye, oak. Medium body, rye, spice, toasted malt, light dry finish, good.

Not sure I’m on board with the rye on top of wheaty Saison earthiness. Slack feel with a boozy apple and clove fade. Little bit of barnyard, whole lot of rye on the spicy finish. Grows fruity as it warms, but not in a good way. Curious but not great.

Draft pour at Green Bench, sitting on the green bench. Oily golden orange pour with a thin film head. A good amount of spice comes through in the aroma and flavor. Like an orange spice tea. Oak character gives it a dryness, and compliments the rye and spice. Orange fruit and soft bran late. There is a lot to enjoy about this saison. Very fun, tasty, and interesting beer.

A golden saison with a thin white head. In aroma, nice herbaceous malt with light grassy hops, light citrus and coriander, OK. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light coriander, herbaceous, OK. On tap at brewery.

Sampled @ Hunahpu Day 2014. Pours hazy yellow color with white head. Aromas of rye, spices and grass. Spicy rye flavor with some grassy and earthy tones with additional spices. Light to medium body with average carbonation.

Sampled draught as a 4 oz pour at the 7venth Sun brewpub on January 19, 2014.Hazy golden color, very small white head. Citrus, fruit, alcohol, spicy scent. Spicy, alcohol, light bitter, citrus zest taste. Bitter aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
