Pint can, 2025 vintage. Coffee aroma with notes of caramel, roasted malt, chocolate, lactose sugar and nutty malt. Pours deep brown with a thin mocha brown head that has little retention and a thin ring of lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt, chocolate and caramel flavors as well as having a rich, full body and silky smooth mouthfeel. Finishes quite smooth with coffee, lactose sugar and nutty malt flavors. Definitely one of the better coffee stouts out there.

Can (16 oz.) Pours a thick and dark, dark brown with a finger or so of dense tan foam. Aromas are an enticing mix of coffee, chocolate, vanilla, a little charcoal, and maybe a whiff of dark pit fruit (cherry/plum/prune). First sip is pretty jarring... there is a TON of sugar here and the beer comes off as too sweet for my palate. It's delicious, but not in the way that makes me want to plow through 16 ounces of this... in a way that wants a small snifter over desert or something. The coffee presence is stronger in the nose, yielding a flavor that is more of a dense chocolate cake with extra frosting. Mouthfeel is silky and smooth.

440ml can from Benny’s place, Kuala Lumpur. Poured almost black in colour with a thin round tan head. The aroma is roasty, herbal, tonka. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter and sweet with a smooth, rich, roasty, oily, dry coffee, spicy, boozy liquorice bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

4oz pour in the O'Shea Taproom on 30th July 2025. Lovely malty brew, black bodied with a decent tanned top, sweet coffee leading the way flavour wise. Really enjoyed this.

Black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is biscuits, chocolate, syrup and mild coffee to it. Flavour is nice coffee, roasted malts, alcohol and some syrupy tones. Nicely in balance.

Brewery draught, 1/18025.
Clear dark mahogany. Small ring of bubbles.
Rich, fruity, robust coffee. Very clean and well-expressed.
Sweet, a bit too sweet for my tastes. Vanilla and zippy coffee with long chocolate fudge. The coffee is delicious and well-done, at least.
