Tap @ Euclid Hall. Clear golden appearance with a small white head. Grainy, grassy, somewhat husky malty, light honey aroma. Honey, very light vanilla, sweet grainy, pale malty, straw flavor. Fairly sweet but not entirely unenjoyable.

Tap at Euclid Hall - clear golden pour - I have to say that there are no true flaws in this beer, really, unless you count being boring as fuck a flaw, in which case, then yes, this beer is seriously flawed - little to no crispness or hop character - zero malt character - it’s just kind of...there - your brain registers that it is drinking something, but that’s it - it is possible to make a beer this light, but still full of crisp, snappy, spicy/hoppy goodness - this has not happened here.

DMSed aroma of green beans and peas. Milky yellow with a thin vanishing head. Lemony malt flavor, DMS still evident. A bit of green olive is lieft on the palate, which isn’t unwelcome. Flawed.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Best before July 2009. Pours a clear pale straw color with a thin head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma is very nutty and earthy with light grass. Taste is pretty much the same... nutty, earthy with light fruity notes. A pretty odd one. Medium bodied,

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head that lasts. The aroma is a strong clove and wheat. Good spotty lacing on the glass. The taste is very sweet malt with lemon and citrus. A decent kolsch from Steamworks.

I was hoping for a good, fresh kolsh. Sadly this is pretty bad. Well carbonated and lots of bubbles on the tongue. Slightly acidic. Very light, like a pale lager.
