Wynkoop Parade of Darks 2011. Black appearance with a light brown head. Fairly assertive piney hoppy, very roasty malty, dark chocolate, espresso aroma. The flavor is reminiscent of some of the bigger RIS out there with a huge roasty malty quality along with aggressive piney hops, black coffee, and chocolate. Roasty aftertaste. Overall, pretty good brew.

A hoppy, strongly bitter, intensely roasty, bittersweet American-style impy, along the lines of Storm King - a ton of espresso, roast, licorice/anise, baker chocolate - intense black malt bitterness, but not at all abrasive - the alcohol is a little strong in the finish, but otherwise this is tasty stuff.
