Aroma of malt, caramel, raisins, some dark fruits, metallic notes, hint of spices. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bittersweet finish. Creamy, full body. It’s a shame about the metallic aspect.

Bottle 0.33ltr: Very dark brown coloured brew with an slightly bitter taste and with hints of caramel, liquorice and dried fruits.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Brown with an off-white head. Dark caramel aroma with some overripe banana. A hint of roast as well. Sweet taste with a sweet finish. Nice smooth mouthfeel. Pleasant beer.

Bottle from Dranken Vandewoude and drunk at home. Clear dark brown cola colour lasting tan head. some dark malt. some bitterness. not really my thing. OK

Flesje gedeeld met Tomhendriksen. Robijnrood bier met matig schuim. Aroma en smaak van koffie pruimen en zwarte kersen. Nasmaak is iets bitter.

Fles gedeelt door Inoven. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een volle schuimkraag welke snel weg ebt. Het heeft een fruitige wat moutige geur. De smaak is moutig, chocolade achtig, zoet en zacht zuur.

330ml bottle; BB 13th Jun 2020. Poured into an old Augustijn chalice at home during a random tasting session with myself on 15th Feb 2019. Brown bodied, red hue, short lived wispy head. Liquorice notes in both the aroma and taste; malty and fairly sweet throughout. My sweet tooth really enjoyed this.
