From tap as Verksgår’n amber ale at Larvik Mikrobryggeri. Slightly hazy amber with an off-white head. Malty with a nice bitterness. A bit sweet and fruity. Medium to light body. Quite refreshing. Backlog: tasted 2011-12-22)

På kran i bryggeriet 17 Okt 09. Fargen er rødbrun. Lavt luftig skum som nesten ble borte. Fruktig aroma. Avrundet og sammensatt smaksbilde. Litt ristet malt. Søtlig. Avslutningen er litt tørr og bitter.

400ml on draught at the brewpub. The pour reveals a clear, amber coloured body with a dark-red tint. Thin, but lasting, beige head. Pleasant malt-fruity aroma added by notes of hop resin. Moderate flavoured with brittle caramel on a roasted background. Nice bitter endnotes. Clean tasting and fine drinkability. A perfect partner to a delicious course called Moose in bayer (Lillehammer, 06.02.2009).

On tap at the Brewpub. A clear, amber pour with an off-white head leaving lacings. Fruity and sweet nose with some toffee, roasted malt, and a nice hop profile. Mostly fruity flavor, but there’s a malty, toffee background to balance it. Medium body. The finish has a lovely fruityness as well, and a nice bitterness. Looking forward to the day this one ends up in the stores. (080216)

Biggish offwhite lasting creamy head with good cling. Deep amber body. Sweetish fruity caramelly grainy aroma with spicy hoppy notes. Dry-sweet grainy reinsy taste with roasty, tangy caramelly notes. Something smoky in the background, it seems. Also delicate, but a bit harsher than the pilsener. Still very good. (0.33l draft at the brewpub. They said they keep changing the recipe and even style of this beer. This one they referred to as an amber ale.)
