A golden malty 'Tripel' with a well-balanced bitterness and fruity aftertaste. Diverse flavours come together in harmony. Fresh dry to slightly sweet with subtle notes of coriander. The scent of yellow fruit and delicate bitterness determine the definition of this original tripel.

Dullish pale amber. Slight haze. Fairly thick head. Doesn't exactly smell fresh...but here's the thing. It's a tripel.
I will reference Michael Jackson's New World Guide to Beer referring to Westmalle Tripel "It seems to peak in condition in six months to a year, though 1927-vintage bottles are still in good condition.". That's copyright 1988.
Now, realistically, a 1927 Westmalle that never left the abbey was in generally peak aging conditions, but I have reason to expect at least a little ability to handle age in a tripel. Still, this comes across as a bit long in the tooth, unable to express the full vitality of its character.

Hazy amber color with big frothy head. Malt, caramel, fruity, flower, spices aroma. Light bitterness, bit sweet. Average to full body, oily texture, fruity and hoppy finish

Ooit wel regelmatig gedronken laaaaaaaaaang geleden. Iig niet meer sinds de brouwerij in Belgie zit. Heldere gouden body met een hobbelige witte kraag die mooi blijft liggen. Geur is zoetig, fruitig, iets kruiden. Retronasaal wat fruitige esters, gistig. Smaak is iets zoetig, fruitig, iets bitter. Medium body. Redelijk veel koolzuur. Bitterheid neemt iets toe. Prima in zijn soort (maar het is natuurlijk geen Westmalle).

bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma bianca fine persistente, color giallo oro velato, al naso è fruttata speziata lieviti belgi spezie succo di pera zucchero filato miele lieve banana, in bocca è bella speziata intenso coriandolo poi pesche sciroppate pera frutta candita note erbacee, corpo rotondo, carbonatazione forte, lieve astringente, dolce amaro erbaceo moderato. 330ml bottle @ 't Pannepotje, De Panne. Pours a misty blonde, large white head. Vibrant yeasty nose. Flavour profile hits the tripel style on point, full bodied with a brilliant full balanced sweet character, light spicy nods, nice bitter tickle. Well presented and went down well after a walk in De Panne.
