Pirate bomb is our beer Prairie Bomb! aged in rum casks. The flavor from the casks helps impart more vanilla and coconut flavors to the beer while helping to add more body and smoothness to the already explosive and expressive flavors of Bomb!

Holy hell, what a beer...Cocoa, coffee, vanilla, black cherry, molasses, and anise, backed up by oak, chiles, roast, spice, and a lovely rum warmth. Amazing in its balance, never growing overly sweet or boozy, with a gentle, easygoing texture that would be surprising at 8%, much less friggin’ 15%. Amazing. The best Bomb! of them all. I want more. So much more.

12oz (thx, Chris S.!) shared with Andrey @ home. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: coffee, some green peppers, earthy, cigarette butts, inky, some medicinal notes. Taste: along the same lines, hot (damn chili peppers). Overall: harsh, tons of crazy not very pleasant flavors coming from the rum barrel and chilli peppers. Not very good.

Whiskey, molasses nose. Black, thin tan head. Molasses. Medium body, easy carbonation, hot. Lacks the depth and body of other Bomb variants. This is just boozy.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a dark red-ish brown medium head. Pretty thick pouring. Aroma is vanila, cocoa, rum, woody dry notes, chili, rich chocolate, coffee, licorice-ish notes, spices, pepper. Taste is pretty chili-heaty up front, very sweet, rum notes, vanilla, dark chocolate, pepper, coffee, cocoa, molasses, fudge, ark roasted malts. Thick thick booming imperial stout with lots of pretty special flavours. 14%? LOL. As if. This is smooth as fuck. Glad I have 2 more bottles of this!

The Aromas are cocoa, roast and Spice. I think I'm drinking this a little too cold. I had a few drops left in the bottle that we're better than what I poured into the glass. Flavors are well-balanced sweet but not overly, roast spice but also a bit of mineral that doesn't quite work. Good body carbonation and slightly boozy finish. Nice beer.

Keg at Craft Islington. Boozy. Surprisingly ok to drink. Aroma is vanilla, dark fruit, chocolate, booze. Taste leaves a bit of a burn. Cola. Thick and smooth. Nice stuff. Feel the rum a bit further down.

Flesje van Benzai, bedankt man! Bijna zwart, Chocolade, cocos, vanille in de overdonderende geur. Zoet, dik, chocolade, vanille, rum en gedroogd fruit. Moutig ook nog. Zeer weinig koolzuur. Hartverwarmend en overdonderend, mede dankzij de alcohol.
