Keg at Mother Kelly’s - Bethnal Green, London. Pours black with a creamy, beige head. Great aroma, lots of chocolate, roast, some dried fruits, impressions of burnt cinnamon. Light-medium sweet flavour with restrained roasted malt character, light bitter char and earth, further dried fruits, berries, light mocha. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. More lightly ashy roast in the finish, very slight spicy cinnamon and chili, milk chocolate, fudge, toasted toffee. Very drinkable. A lot of fun.

4 oz taster draft as part of a 4 beer flight at the Westbrook Brewing Company in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The pour is a black brown with a small tan head. The aroma is roast malt, vanilla, dark chocolate and spice earth. The taste is the roast malt, cinnamon, a vegetal pepper, earth, vanilla and cinnamon in the finish. Lots of flavor and body for the size. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and the cinnamon mineral dry finish. Fun beer.
