Bottle. Pours dark ish orange with a small white head. Notes of brett, stale hops, light caramel malt.

EBF 2018: looks like golden haze with a white head. Aroma is bretty funk and fruitiness. Taste is slightly bitter. Funky brett. Earthy. Good.

Hazy. Light beige, earthy, fruity, a weird muddled note, sweet, phenolic. Not much brett.

Draught at the brewery, 2/12/17.
Deep bronze-golden with some copper notes, a good clarity (very light haze) and a white head that shows moderate retention.
Juicy and with mild Brett augmenting instead of dominating the beer, the nose takes on a very fruity, tropical character that shows honey underlying the bright pineapple, mango, lime and very light pine. Some of the 100% brett primary beers I’ve had have been starkly dry, overly phenolic (heavy, heavy white/black pepper) and quite muted, overall. Not so here and this comes off much more like an IPA spiked with Brett at bottling/secondary.
In the mouth it’s dry and juicy, with light bread and honey balancing the pineapple and sweet mango notes from both hop and yeast. Low-to-medium carbonation could use a bit of a boost/tightening, but that’s my only real complaint here. Otherwise, a juicy, tropical, bright, malty IPA that dries out reasonably well on the end. Very low bitterness, no alcohol or flaw.
