Don’t ever call a Roman Lager just another Pilsner beer. Because this mild and pleasant thirst-quencher has a fruity nose. The mildly malty attack transitions into a slightly bitter finish. We have been brewing this beer in our coppers since 1945.

Clear golden in the glass and a fast vanishing head Ok pilsner aroma with an ok intensity Decent ok bitterness and an ok carbonation level Malty and very herbal hoppy flavor Fair enough pilsner this one. Ok character [Bottle from Gundersen Birthday Calendar 21]

16 oz. draft at Coasters. Crystal clear yellow color with virtually no head. Indistinct beer aroma. Clean, lightly crisp and smooth. Straightforward lager flavor. Very little pilsner flavor. No hops or sharp bitter flavors. Faint Euro lager notes. Very generic, like a Euro B/M/C, but well made.

Slightly acidic, grainy aroma with apple. Sweetish flavor, again with apple. Typical Begian pilsener at its worst.

Roman Lager 5.0. Dorada clara limpia. Aroma cereal. En boca mantiene el mismo tono, con predominio dulzón. Poco contrapunto, más allá de notas de levadura belga.

33 cl bottle. Pale golden color, clear, massive big white head. Taste of lager malts, ceral, straw, light fruity and bready. Grassy, a bit salty, light bitterness. Extremely carbonated, watery body, clean finish.

Pours clear golden with a collapsing, frothy, white head. The aroma contains malt, grain, sugar, hops and a bit of iron. It tastes light sweet and light grainy bitter; dry finish, slightly metallic. Light body, watery texture (though not too thin), soft carbonation. Quite a 'clean' Pilsener, to be preferred over Jupiler or Maes.

On tap in the Volkscafé Sint-Jakobs, Brugge on 2nd Dec 2015. Do not usually drink Pilsners when in Brugge but as this was new to me I took the plunge. Usual clear golden lager/pilsner look, fading white crown also typical of the style. Leaning towards semi-sweet and malty rather than hop bitter in nature. Could have been one of many similar beers from anywhere in the world: almost odourless and tasteless. Refreshing and clean, but not much to test your scenes. A Mr Average Pils in every way.

06/02/2014 bottle @ De Linde, Melden. Yellow with pearly white head. Aroma is like other Pilsener I had lately : rotten. Taste is luckily better. Grainy, malty, light bitter and some sweetness. Even with the smell and the sweetness, best Pilsener I had in a long time
