12oz bottle pours with a clear deep gold body that has a copper core and supports a thin white head. The aroma offers up pine hops and grapefruit like citrus hops and then some floral hops with a thin soft maltiness in the background. The taste is similar as I get bitter pine and grapefruit like hoppiness with thin rings of floral hops at the periphery. There’s little in the way of late addition flavor hops here but the hop bitterness is just spot on with a bit of an assist from the mild malty base. Pretty nice straight forward IPA.

Pours a clear copper-gold with smallish head. Grassy aroma with some citrus. Flavor is also quite grassy, with some citrus and tropical fruit. Bitter finish.

Bottle. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of citric and piney hops, a bit stale. Flavor has some sweetish malt, a touch of marmalade, and bitter piney and citric hops, slightly stale. Medium-bodied. Decent, but probably better fresher.

Bottle from Bev Mo Sunnyvale. Unclear gold color with a thick, frothy, off white head. Pine, resin leads the way with plenty of citrus as well. Minimal sweetness, mostly hop bitterness. Malt presence of fairly light. As it warms, citrus becomes stronger, taking over for the pine. Pretty solid IPA.

On tap at 10 Barrel Portland. A bit hazy dark golden with a white head. Fresh and hoppy with grapefruit, some mango and light hay. The finish was bitter.

This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-hazy to burnt somewhat golden orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated extremely slowly. Some bubbles here and there inside of the foaminess.
The smell started off with some faded grassy to citrus hops sliding into a crisp sweet caramel malt backbone.
The taste was moderately sweet to bitter through the prior mentioned flavors. Citrusy hoppy to semi-malty aftertaste runs into a dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent crisp sweet sessionable feel about it. Carbonation seems decent for the style and to me.
Overall, its a pretty good AIPA. Maybe not one to seek and destroy on a daily basis, but I could have it again. I do have to admit, this almost seemed a bit old, but there’s no bottling date, so, my words stand.
