14/8/2021. From BIAB at the 24th Festival of Beer and Brewing at the Museum of East Anglian Life, Stowmarket. Pours slightly hazy dark gold with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of semi-sweet fleshy apple, light funk and citrus. Moderate sweetness, light tartness. Medium body, oily texture, low carbonation. Dry, quite sweet finish. Very drinkable.

Pint, hand-pulled at The Pheasant, Wellington Shropshire on 5th Jul 2021. It isn't black at all, but it does taste of cider.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden with steady bubbles. Light frothy head. Nose - tangy apples and apple skins. Taste - more tangy apples. Light hay and apple skins again. Palate - there's a light sweetness but the good natural apple acidity in the apples makes this very refreshing. Overall - very good.

500ml bottle from Beer Zoo. Golden colour, short-lived white foam head and astringent barnyard apple aroma. Taste is fruity apple, bittersweet, with notes of straw, woody, barnyard funk, and lots of tannins. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
