(Bottle, thanks to Håkan) Dark brownish ruby colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, vinous nose with caramel, oak wood, dark cherries, plums, prunes, raisins, blackberries, dark bread and a touch of plum brandy. Malty, fruity, tart taste with notes of caramel, sour cherries, oak wood, raspberries, balsamic vinegar, plums, some chocolate and a slightly tart finish with a mild bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Complex and tasty, with lots of oak, caramel and tart fruit. Very nice.

Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours fairly dark brown with a creamy/bubbly beige/tan head. Aroma of dark treacle and perhaps rye. Med + body or so. Flavor is darkish treacle with musty wood notes, maybe a touch of brown sugar, maybe some bourbon, but I'm pretty sure rye is in it. Lots going on here - very hard to parse in great detail. Maybe halfway to dry, maybe. Not very bitter, but there's something fighting the sugar. All in all it seems quite complex. I'm liking it a lot.
