Can from Bo Brooks’ Lighthouse Liquors, Baltimore. Golden in colour, with a decent, white, head. A well-balanced beer, with citrus fruits, juicy hops, a hint of pine and lengthy, bitter finish. Very good.

A hazed amber ale with a thick frothy light mocha head. In aroma, nice pungent floral hops with catty resinous notes, good biscuit malt, classic. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, resinous and smooth, light grapefruit, roasted grains, nice. Can from Seoul Korea, spring 2014.

Can @ home. Clear orange golden color, average to medium sized white head. Aroma is malts, hops, tropical fruits. Taste malts, hops, bitter, lightly tropical fruits. Decent body and carbonation. Pretty heavy bitterness for an APA. Still a nice hoppy beer though.

Can @ Kafe Belgie, small sample. Almost clear yellow to golden color, short white head. Aroma of soft citrussy hops, slight grainy malt. Bit low on aroma actually. Soft bitterness in taste, bit crisp, clean. But also a bit boring. Could have used a bit more aroma hop in my book.

35.5 cl can (5.5%) @ Beer Temple. Canned 22.04.2014. Aroma has fruity hops, some caramel and hints of biscuits. Flavour has hops, grapefruit, some caramel and biscuits. Also hints of gooseberry bush. Leathery palate. An APA on the sweet side, sweetness is not disturbing here though.

11/VII/14 - 12Fl. Oz. can from Biernavigatie (webshop, NL) @ home - BB: n/a (2014-788)
Clear bright orange beer, nice creamy off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: fruity start, passion fruit, citrus, some mango, bit grassy, sweet caramel malts. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit malty start, some citrus, very bitter and grassy hops, on warming up a bit fruitier, but not much. Aftertaste: very bitter, almost medicinal, little malty sweetness, but mainly very dry and bitter.

Bitter pale ale, with a body of soft malt and some notes of acidic fruit. Just good, nothing more.

Can from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear light amber with a frothy white head and lots of gas. The aroma is pine needle, grassy hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a citrus hop bitter, light spice palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

12 oz can @ home on Independence Day. Clear amber color. Frothy white head. Aroma’s: malts, some fruit, also something vegetal. More (dark) malts retronasal, sweet fruit, a bit hay/grass. Flavor is rather bitter with light maltiness. Light bodied. Finishes firmly bitter and dry. Nice on this hot day, but not entirely balanced.
