This delicately balanced Strong Ale starts with dark copper color mixed with slight reddish hues and a light tan head. Big malty aroma with a Munich character give way to a slight caramel & toffee mixed with spicy noble hop aroma, all wrapped together with a medium-bodied mouth feel. German malt flavor profile with slight roasty notes give Pray for Snow a subtle toffee sweetness balanced with spicy hop bitterness and slight alcohol warming. Served appropriately in a classic snifter.

Clear dark mahogany color with a large beige head and excellent retention. Great lacing. Strong alcohol-forward taste. 7.0 ABV is obvious. Semi-creamy mouthfeel and decent caramel malt flavor, just too strong.

On draught at Old Chicago.

Pours a clear reddish brown, fluffy off white head of foam.

Smells hoppy, roasty, some sweet notes. Little bit of nuttiness.

Taste is pretty bitter. Aspirin like. Roasted malt, very little sweetness. Hint of nuttiness.

Good mouthfeel but to me, not a tasty brew.

Poured up on tap at AZ Strong Beer Fest 2016 where it exhibits a deep brown to amber colored body that supports a tan head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up kind of nutty, kind of a roasty malt bit and then kind of a vague slightly pine like hoppiness leading to a spicy black strap molasses note at the end of the draw. The taste delivers malt roastiness, a nutty sensation and then getting into spicy to almost pine like hops. It ends with a lingering dry roasted nuttiness. As it warms the spicy to pine hops and nuttiness grow.

22 oz bottle poured. Pours a reddish brown color with a lasting fizz ring head. I hesitated on this for a couple years now, because I hate snow, and I’m quite superstitious. A little snow for good beer can’t hurt I suppose. Rich caramel malt aroma and flavor. Ideal beer for standing outside in 10 degree temperature, around a fire. Which is exactly what I was doing during my first and only visit to 10 barrel. Hope to be back soon! Good beer.

Bottle from QFC, Seattle
Nice dark amber color with red hue, clean, and with small compact head. Aroma and flavor are caramel based, the aroma is also a bit oxidized, there are enough residual sugars, and it ends with a strong component of roasted nuts; although in the final there is a bit of chicory-like bitterness.
Good beer.
