Reviewed from notes. Bottle purchased 02/28/2018 and consumed the same day.
This was poured into a tulip.
Appearance: dark purple close to black color with a slim cap of a foamy head which disintegrated practically immediately, obviously, no lace
Aroma: sweet & tart black raspberries, vinous sweet, funky, Brett/sour, and a touch of sweet wood
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine tart to sour while a light sweet slides in for more balance; finishes sour/Brett-like with the black raspberries
Texture: medium bodied, great sipper! Light smoothness but nice level acidic sour tones nick the tongue just a little bit as I expected it to.
Overall: an absolutely awesome black raspberry saison I would definitely welcome again.

Bottle. Pours deep purple, small purple white head, some lacing. Aroma is berries, mineral, hint of brett. Flavor is very light tart, nice berries, bit of brett funk. Medium body, lowish carbonation. This may have rocked a couple years ago, but now all hop influence is gone, and the characteristic (and lovely) Anchorage brett is almost non existent. It is still beautiful.

Pour is a dark red almost black with no head at all. Aroma is a bit of raspberry and some musty basement. Flavor is tart and vineous but I got no raspberry or no real brett note. Almost like drinking pure red wine vinegar. This was a fail all around. No real raspbeery or brett, just a vinegar tartness. Even getting the cork out was a pain in the ass.

24/8/2019. Bottle courtesy of SHIG (cheers Shawn!) and shared at the Ipswich & North Essex beer share. Pours dark red/brown with a small pink head. Aroma of raspberry, raspberry ripple ice cream, chocolate, yeast and light herb. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness, medium tartness. Medium body, slight watery texture, average carbonation. Light sour finish.

750 ml corked and caged. Lots of brett in the nose, some berry action, wood. Pours nearly black, but it's a really dark purple, with a thin purple head that falls into a ring pretty quickly. Moderately tart (6/10) with lots of berry flavor. Great beer.

Pours dark red with a small pink head. Aroma has notes of malt, tart, black currant and funk. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter and light to medium sour with a long black currant, funky and tart finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, thanks to Jonathan! Deep, dark red with a lasting pink head. Aroma of dark berries with red wine and a touch of funk. Dry fruity flavour with lots of blackberry and earthy and wooden notes. Very intense and tasty, but for the brewery I'm almost a little disappointed with the berry, berry, berry character.
