Diablo is our flagship IPA, loaded with US hop varieties, dominated by the ‘Citra’ variety. Big tropical flavours & aroma punctuate, mango, lychee & papaya fruits abound, with notes of resinous pine leading to a lasting bitterness. A devilishly good US West Coast inspired IPA.

330ml bottle at Les Crêpes de Sophie in Shrewsbury on 19th Dec 13. Pink grapefruit feel throughout this beer; poured a hazy almost dirty old gold colour, on top a white covering. The aforementioned grapefruit came strong and fast as I sniffed and sipped the offering, other hop esters and flavours came and went but the citrusy grapefruit refused to budge or be replaced by anything else: peach notes and a floral hint or two tried to express themselves but got put firmly in their place. Nice brew: not my normal type of tipple but I really enjoyed it. The body depth was just right and it held the alcohol and flavours together very well.

Keg at The Hanging Bat. Hazy pale golden body with a thin white head. No bubbles. Nice lacing. Passion fruit aroma with a hint of mint and coriander - I’m instantly reminded of BrewDog’s Dead Pony Club. The flavour is bright and fresh - tropical fruit with a hint of spearmint. Thin to medium body with an oily texture. Spritzy carbonation. A light, refreshing IPA.
