From a bottle. Pours a hazy rose with a feint pink head. Funky aromas of dank hay and berries. Flavors of sour cherries. A bit of watery mouth feel. Tart finish.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass; 2015 vintage bottling, released recently. Pours hazy ruby red/orange color with a minimal foamy pink head; that reduces to a thin ring than lingers with minimal spotty lacing. Aromas of big sweet/tart cherries, berries, lemon, green apple, almond, vanilla, toasted oak, caramel, and brown sugar; with lighter notes of leather, pepper, musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, cherries, oak barrel, and moderate malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big sweet/tart cherries, berries, lemon, green apple, almond, vanilla, toasted oak, caramel, and brown sugar; with lighter notes of leather, pepper, musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Moderate fruity/acidic tartness and light yeast/tannic oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of sweet/tart cherries, berries, lemon, green apple, almond, vanilla, toasted oak, caramel, brown sugar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, cherries, oak barrel, and moderate malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Lightly drying from acidity/tannic oak as well. Light carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/acidic, and slightly sticky/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol as expected of 6.3%. Overall this is a great sour Kriek style! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, cherries, oak barrel, and moderate malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modest acidity; and despite having minimal carbonation. A very enjoyable offering.

Murky, dirty color-fadng red. Aroma is pretty great with pie cherries mixed with tart cherries. Really like the aroma. Flavor is less distinct. A tar and lightly vigorous flavor and carbonation . Less cherry but it kicks in at the aftertaste with some faint pie cherry.

375 ml bottle poured at Urban Family. Pours a bright red with a disappearing head. Aroma is a big cherry pie, with the flavor matches exactly. Perfectly tart, red cherry throughout. Overall a very well executed kriek here. Very much enjoyed.
