The world needs heroes, and in our home state of Florida only a very special hero will do. A hero with a shark tooth around his neck, a Grim Reaper tattoo on his arm, and a rap sheet longer than his mama’s mustache. A hero who’s forgotten more about amateur taxidermy and alligator rasslin’ than you’ll ever know. What better way to pay tribute to our beloved Florida Man than with a big ol’ Double India Pale Ale brewed with a nearly-criminal amount of hops and a moderate bitterness that just about matches Florida Man’s general disposition. This hopped-up whopper of a beer is big in character and guaranteed to sear itself into your memory, just like “the world’s worst superhero,” Florida Man.

large tall 1 pint 3.2 fl oz. can 9.0% alc, not 8.5% a lot of malty sweetness, some resiny notes, a lot of aromatic us bitter hops, but they seem a bit dated. can is stamped 02/2024 probably brewed then, now it is nearly 07/2024 so close to 5 months old. alc. is well hidden in the aroma, all you get is an overall exotic fruity hoppy sensation. flavor is super well balanced hop centric heavy hopped , a little bit of citrus balances the solid sweet malts very well, and it all fits super well together. appears fresh, not at all boozy, super solid super well tasting double ipa. won't get much better than this.

Half Time offered this beer up, I bought it. This 12 oz can will be served in a tulip glass tonight, I flip the tab and pour. A dense orange-yellow body with a top of arctic white foam. The scent is a well appreciated, old school dose of pine, grass, grain, along with an indication of sweetness. A taste now, damn, not bad. Lots of hops, cedar, dry crackers, citrus, a touch of mango and malt. A return to sanity in the IPA world. I have always thought Cigar City did themselves well by their IPAs.

Canned (thanks GodOfThunder!). Orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized beige foamy head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some nicely wooden tones. Flavour is consisting of the same elements as the aroma, but also has a nice bitterness in th finish.

Tap at 100 piv. Med-full body, medium carbonation. High bitterness, medium sweetness. Med-light caramelly and light over-ripe fruity tired yeast. Feels a bit oxidized mostly, not tragic, but it is there. Hops-centered despite all, med-high citrusy, tangerine, moderate resiny and grassy hops character. Overall good, but not great.

355 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.5%, IBU 55. Murky yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma of various tropical fruits, hints of citrus and sprucetips. Citric and fairly rich mouthfeel. The medium sweet flavour has notes of citrus and tropical fruits, with a distinct hop bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Good beer.

Massive can from Luekens Wines & Spirits, Seminole. Light yellow/gold and cloudy with a smallloose white head & considerable lacing. Light fruity aroma with orange, mango, pineapple. Sweet taste with some lovely malt notes across the juicy citrus, and some unforgiving bitterness in the long finish. More mango and some stone fruit in the aftertaste. Medium carbonation. Nice beer that really grows on me.
