Over the past hundred years, our brewers have certainly engaged in their fair share of mischief. This beer, however - our first India Pale Ale - has taken a dose of wickedness to brew. Starting with 2-row, caramel, and wheat malts, which provide a bright copper color and fuller body, we then add Crystal and Bravo hops for aroma and a classic IPA bite. We finish it off by dry hopping with Centennials for an even more aromatic flavor.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy bright golden color with a huge foamy orange-white head that lingered and left incredible lacing. The aroma was faint fruity and citric hops. The flavor was bitter with leafy fruity hops, a bit of caramel and tobacco. Medium length hoppy finish. Medium body. Ok.

Bottle. Orange caramel malt and metallic orange peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with large off-white head. Lightly sweet orange caramel malt and moderately bitter metallic orange peel flavor. Okay body. Drinkable but only just.

5 month old bottle into a pint. A: Medium clear orange gold pour. Small tight head fell quickly S: Crisp light smell of pine, orange and lastly caramel. T: Much like the smell. Orange zest and pine with crusty brown bread and toffee. Nice balance of flavors. M: Medium bodied with low carbonation and dry finish. O: Not bad and I’m sure it’s even better when fresh. I also like the lowish ABV.

12 ounce bottle, 6/4/16. Clear copper, large frothy white head, good retention. Aroma of grapefruit, pine and pale malt. The taste is grapefruit, tropical fruit, pale malt, a mild bit of tinniness. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness, solid.
