Bottle shared in London - picked up in the US. Pours unclear golden-brown with a modest, foamy tan head. Rich malts abound, some stewed fruits, toffee, a little toasted wood, vanilla, mild oxidation. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation, lightly warming finish, lightly sticky, more toffee, dates, figs, some alcohol, toasted brown bread. Solid.

Level 6 bottleshare. Thanks to LKS. Almost clear amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth and light palate, fairly dry, modest fine carbonation. Smooth light malts, thin caramel. Modest vanilla and dry wood. Ripe fruity rum with a bourbon twist. Overall it has a slightly tired feel but it's plenty rich in flavour if not body. For me the Cherrywood is lost, which is a shame.

A hazed dark amber ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with loads of raspberry jam, light acidity, light meaty notes, interesting. In mouth, sweet fruity malt with light vinous notes, treacle, light butterscotch, light bourbon barrel notes, alcohol warmth, very nice. Bottle at Chuck and April’s Cellar Tasting.

650 ml bottle purchased at Prost at the end of 2015. (The only vintage of this date) brown reddish color. Candy sugar and plums upfront. With yeast and raisin’s.
The yeast has good character and moderate alcohol warmth after the sip. I taste fig, plums and lots of sugar. The body is almost full with a lightly boozy warmth after the swallow without any harsh alcohol flavors. I know this style displays sweet sugary notes, but for my palate right now it is borderline cloying. For the style it is nicely crafted.
