A Rotterdam Pale Ale dryhopped with the American hops Citra & Mosaic. Karel is fruity in the nose with passion fruit, grapefruit, and a hint of hay and citrus in the background. The refreshing fruity flavors end in a slightly bitter and thirst-quenching aftertaste.

Fairly well made beer. On the bitter side for the low abv and balance. But solid job worth buying more kaapse beer. Bierkonig ams

Can, 4.5%. Fruity aroma, hint of bubble gum. Almost clear light copper colour. Small white head. The flavour is fruity with a fairly high bitterness, and slightly astringent. Bubble gum notes, perhaps tropical fruits. Yeasty finish.

Can from AH XL supermarket. Color: Clear golden, white head. Aroma: Fruity passionfruit, hoppy. Taste: Hoppy, notes of passionfruit and some citrus fruit, malty background. Moderate sweet and light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Very nice Session IPA (according to the label) with quite long lasting finish.

On tap. Pours a copper color with moderate head. Aromas of burnt orange, fight malts and a bit of copper. Flavors of dull tropical fruit, old hops/tea and bready malts. Malty for a gluten free. Nice enough

330 ml can, at Grand Café-Restaurant Loos, Rotterdam. ABV is 4.5%. There is a picture of Karl Marx on the can. Deep golden to orange colour, large white head. Reasonably citric aroma and flavour, hints of passionfruit, on a background of sufficient malts. Refreshing. Went well with my chicken satay.
