A blend of a mature and young ale creates a porter of traditional character that’s dark cherry in colour and complex in taste. Aromas of liquorice, rum, raisin and chocolate with hints of coffee are in abundance in this full-bodied, warming ale.

From the world-famous city of Bungay. Surprisingly good, given their other beers.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Black pour with small beige head but with a fairly fizzy carbonation so head doesn't dissipates after a while. Inviting aroma of roasted malt, berries and liquorice. Flavour wise the roast and liquorice is at the forefront with a raisin and blackberry fruitiness giving it balance. Very dry finish with hints of coffee. A little light in the body but as its quite rich this works well. Decent porter.

It’s on par with a Irish Guinness.
