Really sweet/malty hints of butterscotch. Nice.

Nothin’ better than a 750 of barelywine. The caged and corked bottle pours with a clear rutty red amber colored body that supports a nice tan head. The modest aroma offers up musty molasses covered grapes, prunes, raisins and some cherries along with a bit of booze and figs. The taste starts smooth with sweet malts and molasses and then it quickly gets into prunes, brown sugar and raisins. Some mild nectar sweet plums and cherries and molasses ramp up the richness midway and into the finish. As it warms the mouth feel becomes even smoother. Pretty solid for a young barelywine. In a year + this should be dynamite.

Bottle shared at Anchorage Jan ’15 Tasting: Poured a clearing red-brown with off white head. Was surprised at the amount of hops I picked up and meshed with nice malts in the nose. Taste was nice hoppy, boozy, caramel, toffee and malts.
