This tribute to St. Patrick’s Day is smooth and creamy, with the distinct flavors and aromas of bittersweet chocolate, coffee and dark roasted barley. Two precious batches of this robust, ebony colored stout are produced every year, one for St. Patty’s Day and one for Irish Fest.

Black and thick palate. Roasty, Guinness-like aroma. Tall but short lived brown head. Flavor is too sweet for the style, but there is roasted malt. Cut down on the sweetness and this will be at the top of its class. Dry, popcorn flavor in the finish.

Dark brown; toasty, a little thin, has a whole grain bread crustiness to it. A decent porter, but nowhere near making it as a stout.
