bottle from douglas88.
dark pour, small head. Roasty nose, with some soy sauce in there. Flavour is roasty, and full bodied. Body is thin, i would expect a fuller body from an oatmeal stout. St Ambroise still make the best oatmeal stout out there. THis is a nice light drinking stout.

(Tap) Clear, bright, very dark brown colour with a medium tall brown head; aroma of milk chocolate, hint of vanilla; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish; on the weak, insipid, and watery side

On tap at the SLC BP. Picturesque black pour with the right creamy beige head. Very subtle and soft roast aromas and flavors. A hint of dark chocolate. Very smooth. Even for a nitro.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with creamy beige head. Light vague chocolate and cocoa, some coffee, very watery and bland. Like water with some coffee.

From Dec 2006
Poured from 12oz bottle a very dark brown with a large head of foam that quickly dissipated leaving a very broken fine layer with no lacing.
The smell surprised me. I note a very citrusy nose that reminds me more of a hoppy Pale ale or an IPA.
The taste has some good roasted flavour to it up front with a heaping helping of citrus..mainly lemon...especially in the finish. I can't detect much of an oatmeal flavour to it; maybe the hoppiness is blocking it out? Pretty unusual tasting Oatmeal Stout that I can't say I favour that much. It *just* doesn't hit palate right.

On tap at Squatters, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is very subtle, with dry cocoa powder and light toasted malt. Flavour brings out dry cocoa powder and smooth toasted malt. Creamy palate but not a whole lot going on. Decent.

Bottle from a trade with Gription79. Pours black with tan head. Aromas of roasted malts and milk chocolate. Dark roasted malt flavor with lots of bitterness and slightly ashy. Medium body with soft carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Thanks Dallas.

35,5 cl bottle @ hotel room, Las Vegas. Born in 21.05.2012
Aroma has some toffee, roasted notes and hops. Flavour has English hops, toffee and hay. A very typical English (or Irish) stout. But not Sweet Stout in any way.
